The story of Cavalleggeri.

First a horse post, then a residence for family summers.

The staircase and portraits at Casa Cavalleggeri

From a horse post to a family home.

In 1939, Count Uguccione and Countess Lea della Gherardesca commissioned architect Tullio Rossi to transform the old horse post into a holiday residence. Welcoming people has been part of the house’s story ever since.

The name Cavalleggeri recalls its former life as a post for changing horses. Tullio Rossi’s design began a new chapter: a home for family summers, between the park and the sea. Its character still comes from the meeting of architecture, landscape and memory.
